■COMMENT
#FUL-VUE style in octagon shape by B&L in 1930.
#In 1930 AMEICAN OPTICAL released firstly FUL-VUE, whose hinges are on the almost top on the lens. Other makers in the US (ex. B&L, SHURON, ART CRAFT) those days paid license fee to AO to make this popular FUL-VUE style.
#The chasing/engraving work on Gold Filled frame is so delicate. Hand crafted by jewelry artisans those days. This is made on 3 aspects of the bridge part. (Usually on only the front aspect).
#This decorative work reflects ART-DECO, which is an eclectic artistic and design style which had its origins in Paris in the first decades of the 20th century. The style originated in the 1920s and continued to be employed until after World War II.
