■COMMENT
#"Sharp clear vision and unmatched protection...those are the reasons most shooters choose Ray-Ban shooting glasses. Large, toughened lenses give you excellent, undistorted vision from center to edge. Properly fitted Shooters ride high on the face, wont fog and you never see the frame." on Ray-Ban's pamphlet those days.
#Decot has unique shape of lenses, which are wider than they are tall. Decot was sold from the middle of 1960s to 1978 according to some vintage Ray-Ban posters those days.
#Long before Decot was firstly released by Ray-Ban, in 1949, Mr. Robert Bud Decot founded a shooting glasses company, DECOT HY-WYD SPORT GLASSES INC., and made his own shooting glasses very similar to this Ray-Ban Decot Shooter and sold them at his shop, Louis Schutt. It is said that in 1950s he also custom-made Ray-Ban Shooter into his unique shape with horizontally long lenses and short bridge, which was named Clear-Site.
#"BL" etching on both lenses. Without white Ray-Ban logo on the lens. And the material info engraved on the frame is 1/30 10KGO so this is certainly made in the early 1970s.
