■COMMENT
#As you know the front of the WAYFARER is so steep and the temples are in aggressive shape.
#They dont have Ray-Ban silver logos on both temples. The WAYFARER with Ray-Ban silver logos was made in 1990s and the one without the logos was made in 1980s.
#"BL" etching on both lenses.
#"5022" is engraved on the inside of the front frame. This number means their size; the lens width is 50mm and the bridge is 22mm.
#Made by Bausch & Lomb, USA.
#One of the most famous sunglasses in history. True classic.
#WAYFARER was released in 1952. After Wayfarers' heyday in the 1950s and 1960s, sales declined. But in 1980s Ray-Ban signed to place Ray-Bans in movies and television shows. Between 1982 and 1987, Ray-Ban sunglasses appeared in over 60 movies and television shows per year, which made WAYFARER's fate reversed in 1980s. As the 1990s began, the frames again became unpopular but in 2000s, they were brought back into fashion. The reason for the unpopularity in 1970s and 1990s is that very big or wrap-round design sunglasses are popular at those time.
